Privacy

In short: your documents never leave your device. All processing (compression, merging, conversion, signing…) is carried out by your browser. No file is sent to TwoDocument or to anyone else.

What is kept on your device

• The files you create, in “My files”, for 7 days, in your browser's storage. You can delete them at any time.
• The number of free documents used that day.

This information is never transmitted. Clearing the site's data in your browser erases it.

Cookies and audience measurement

TwoDocument uses no advertising cookies, no trackers and no audience-measurement cookies, and displays no ads.

To find out which tools are useful, the site anonymously counts the pages viewed and the documents processed, per tool and per day. This count records neither your IP address, nor any identifier, nor the name or content of your files: only, for example, “one document compressed today”. It cannot be used to identify anyone.

Account (optional)

You can use TwoDocument without an account. If you create one, we keep only: your e-mail address, your name if it is passed on by the service you chose, the technical identifier provided by Google, Microsoft or Facebook, and the dates of creation and last sign-in. This information is used to sign you in and to manage your plan (Premium). It is neither sold nor used for advertising. Even when you are signed in, your documents are never uploaded.

With Google, Microsoft or Facebook, that service identifies you and then passes this information on to us; it applies its own privacy policy. With e-mail, a one-time code is sent to you by our e-mail service provider (Brevo, a French company).

Legal basis: performance of the service you request (Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR). A strictly necessary session cookie keeps you signed in for 30 days. Your account is deleted automatically after 3 years without a sign-in; you can also delete it yourself at any time from “My account”.

Premium waiting list

If you join the waiting list, we keep your e-mail address and the date you joined, solely to let you know when Premium and the founder offer open. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time using the unsubscribe link in every e-mail. The address is deleted no later than one year after Premium opens.

Payments

Payments, once open, will be processed by Stripe. TwoDocument never receives your bank details.

Hosting

The site is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. The site's pages pass through its servers, but your documents do not.

Your rights

You can access your data, correct it or have it erased: from “My account”, using the unsubscribe link in our e-mails, or by writing to the contact address that will appear in the legal notice once registration is complete. You can also lodge a complaint with the CNIL (the French data protection authority, cnil.fr).
