How do I prepare my documents for France Travail?

1. Choose the PDF that contains your documents.
2. Type one range per document: “1-2, 3, 4” for a two-page payslip followed by two one-page payslips.
3. Press “Split”, open the ZIP archive, then upload each file to your personal area.

Your documents are sent from your personal area on francetravail.fr, “Mes échanges et documents” tab, “Transmettre et suivre un document” service. On a phone, use the “Mon espace” app, “Documents” service. You can then track how they are processed, and an e-mail lets you know if a document is rejected. France Travail asks for a single file per document: a two-page payslip makes one file, two payslips make two. If you don't have a scanner, a good-quality photo is accepted.

To register, on francetravail.fr (“S'inscrire, se réinscrire” service), keep your carte Vitale (health insurance card), your bank details (RIB), your payslips and your employer's certificates to hand. Not all of them are essential to get started: at the end, France Travail tells you which documents to send. After that, you update your situation (actualisation) every month, between the 28th and the 15th. Declaring some work? Provide proof by uploading your payslips to your personal area. After a temp assignment, don't send them: the temping agency sends them itself.

To write to your adviser, an attachment must not exceed 5 MB. PDF, JPG, JPEG, PNG and GIF formats, among others, are accepted. Too large? Run the file through the Compress tool.
