How do I convert a PDF to Word?

  1. Choose your PDF.
  2. Choose the mode: editable text, or identical pages as images.
  3. Press “Convert to Word”, then open the .docx file in Word, LibreOffice or Google Docs.

Does the resulting file open in Word?

Yes, it is a standard .docx file, readable by Microsoft Word, LibreOffice, Pages and Google Docs.

My PDF is a scan, what happens?

A scan contains no text, only images: the pages are kept as images. To get editable text, first run the PDF through the OCR tool, which recognizes the text, then convert it to Word.

Are tables kept?

Table text is kept line by line. For an identical result, choose the “identical pages” mode.

Is my document uploaded online?

No, the conversion happens entirely on your device.
