How do I convert a HEIC photo to JPG?

  1. Choose your HEIC (or HEIF) photo.
  2. Choose the quality: high, or normal for a smaller file.
  3. Press “Convert to JPG”, then download the photo.

For several years now, the iPhone has saved its photos in HEIC format, which is lighter than JPG at equal quality. But Windows, some Android phones and many websites (government services, banks, agencies) can't open it: the photo is rejected or displays incorrectly.

Why won't my computer open my iPhone photos?

Because they are in HEIC format, which Windows can't always read without an additional extension. Once converted to JPG, they open everywhere.

Is the quality preserved?

Yes: with high quality, the difference can't be seen with the naked eye. Normal quality gives a smaller file, ideal for sending by e-mail.

Can I convert several photos at once?

Are my photos uploaded online?
