How do I reduce the size of a PDF?

  1. Choose the PDF that is too large.
  2. Keep the recommended level, or choose “Strong” if the site requires a small size (for example 2 MB).
  3. Press “Compress”, then check the new size before downloading.

Official websites (the CAF for family benefits, Pôle emploi now France Travail, prefectures, schools) and e-mail services often limit the size of attachments: 2 MB, 5 MB or 10 MB. A scan made with a phone easily goes over these limits.

TwoDocument reduces the size by recompressing the document's images. The size before and after is shown, so you can check that you are under the required limit. If not, try again with the “Strong” level.
