How do I scan a document to PDF?

  1. Photograph each page lying flat and well lit (or choose your photos).
  2. Choose the style: colour, grey or black and white.
  3. Press “Create scanned PDF”, then download it.

No scanner at home? Your phone is enough. A photo of a document often has a grey background, shadows and low contrast: the Scan tool fixes all that to give you a white, readable page, ready for an administration.

The “Black and white” style gives very sharp, light pages, ideal for forms and letters. “Grey” keeps the shades (stamps, signatures), and “Colour” keeps the colours while brightening the background.

Your photos never leave your phone. To be able to search and copy the text afterwards, run the resulting PDF through the OCR tool.

Lay the document flat on a dark surface, near a window, and hold the phone parallel to the sheet, without your hand casting a shadow.

Is the document straightened automatically?

Not yet: frame the page as closely as possible. You can then adjust the edges with the Crop tool.
